Christmas Tree Varieties

Each tree has its own particular characteristics but most have excellent needle retention and a sweet scent that will fill the room and make it the ideal tree to decorate and delight in for the whole of your Christmas time.

Some of our favourite varieties include:

Nordman Fir: The ‘King’ of Christmas Trees, originating from the Caucus mountains in Russia. Stunning foliage and a beautiful shape.

Norway Spruce: The traditional Christmas tree as introduced to England by Prince Albert, consort to Queen Victoria, in the early nineteenth century. Strong scented with a bushy pyramidal shape.

Noble Fir: Dense green needles with a slightly blue hue creating a very bushy, no-needle drop tree with a wonderful scent.

Blue Spruce: Lovely silvery blue colouring – however watch out if you have small children or pets, these needles are very sharpe and prickly!

Fraser Fir: A newer variety of non-needle drop Christmas tree with an excellent, more feathery appearance and a great fragrance.

Scots Pine: A popular tree with large, blue needles. It can be very dense when sheared, perhaps the best tree for needle retention.
